If this describes you, then please continue reading. What would you do? You would be the first person that patients see when they arrive to the office. You would greet them with a genuine smile and welcome them to the office. Your primary duties would consist of-but not be limited to- treatment plan presentation, insurance verification, scheduling patients, filling the scheduling effectively, collection of patient copays, answering phones and submitting insurance claims. Compensation: Is commensurate with experience and will start between 30K-32K per year Preferred Skills: High sense of Urgency- Someone who needs to complete tasks today and does not want to wait around for some other time, who knows the benefit of getting things done as soon as they are able to be done. Excellent communication skills in person, on the phone, and in writing - As someone who would handle the majority of incoming calls you will need to understand our services thoroughly and be an excellent communicator of them to all who inquire. This would include some communication via email and mailed letters. Customer Service Oriented- The dental office is a place where some patient are uncomfortable for a variety of reasons and it would be your job to make them feel at ease. That often starts with their first call to the office. When patients feel at ease and are comfortable, each visit gets easier and easier. You would inevitably answer calls from patients that may not be so pleasant and it will be your task to remain cool and understanding even though they may not be. This is vital and a very important skill to possess. Confident-Confidence is a quality that is a necessity in this environment. Those who progress confidently in all that they do, will be able to achieve much! Confidence is infectious and it inspires to people to action. We NEED confident people! The mindset of an Adult- We’re not looking for someone who needs to be told what to do, when to show up, what time recess is, and when they need to go home. We’re looking for someone who is a self-managed, self-motivated adult who knows what RESULT we want, and enjoys taking the bull by the horns to get it done, without being watched, managed or directed. We all work together in community to get things done. The desire to serve others – you get energized by helping other people, serving them and making them successful. Acting as if you own the company – taking initiative and ownership, making decisions, thinking ahead and being proactive (we don’t need “reactive”), working with others to constantly make things better and deliver better services every day. Previous experience- At least 1 year of experience is preferred for this position, and experience with Eaglesoft would be a bonus.
