Description

Established General Private Practice looking for a professional, hard-working, outgoing, and self-motivated registered dental hygienist to join our wonderful dental team! We are looking for the right team member who is passionate about their job and is great with patients! Our modern, fully digital practice provides restorative care, fixed and removable prosthodontics, endodontics, extractions, and implant restorations. The position will be 4 days per week (Mon-Thurs) and optional Fridays. Pay will be dependent on experience level and performance. Some of the expected duties for this position include but are not limited to: Kids and Adults Prophylaxis, Periodontal scaling/root planning, application of fluoride and sealants, taking quality radiographs and intra-oral pictures. It is also expected that the RDH educate patients on their current periodontal condition as well as overall dental health, preventive care, risks, consequences if treatment not rendered, as well as oral hygiene instructions. Job Responsibilities Patient screening procedures; such as assessment of oral health conditions, review of the health history, oral cancer screening, head and neck inspection, dental charting and taking blood pressure and pulse Removing calculus and plaque (hard and soft deposits) from all surfaces of the teeth Applying preventive materials to the teeth (sealants and fluorides) Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health; tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling Counseling patients about good nutrition and its impact on oral health Taking digital scans of patients occlusion Your role will be vitally important to keeping our practice running smoothly and maintaining our valued patients in the highest level of dental health.
