We foster a true human connection and we are committed to providing exceptional and compassionate surgical care. Work Schedule: Full-Time 30-40 hours per week. Mo, Tu, Th 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, Fr 6:30-2 Responsibilities: Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action Assisting in surgical procedures, both local and IV sedation Assist patients before, during and after surgery Assist with new patient appointments, follow-ups, and consultations Educate patients on procedures along with pre-and post-operative care Verifies the identity of patients and operative sites Discusses with surgeon the nature of the surgical procedure including operative consent and methods of operative exposure Diagnostic and laboratory data, patient-advanced directions and other needs Record keeping in the form of clinical notes on practice management software Taking 3D Scans, Panoramic Knowledge of dental implants Utilize problem-solving and critical thinking skills Knowledge of dental implants Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment in accordance with applicable infection control guidelines Ensure equipment is maintained according to manufacturers guidelines Prepare tray setups for oral surgery procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory Perform basic computer functions: WinOMS experience preferred Education/Experience High school Some college Surgical Technology Associate Degree program Hospital privileges preferred Candidates that should apply: Oral Surgery Assistant 5+ years Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Assistant (OMSA) or DAANCE certification Certified as a Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board Hospital privileges preferred This Job Is Ideal for Someone Who Is: Dependable -- more reliable than spontaneous People-oriented -- enjoys interacting with people and working on group projects Adaptable/flexible -- enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction Detail-oriented -- would rather focus on the details of work than the bigger picture Achievement-oriented -- enjoys taking on challenges, even if they might fail Autonomous/Independent -- enjoys working with little direction This Company Describes Its Culture as: Detail-oriented -- quality and precision-focused People-oriented -- supportive and fairness-focused Team-oriented -- cooperative and collaborative Additional benefits for full-time employees: Medical Dental services Life insurance Vision Paid time off Paid holidays off 401k Pay: DOE Please send in your resume and a cover letter thank you
