General Dentist Job Overview Coral Springs Dental Group, LLC is seeking a Dentist to join our expanding dental team in our Coral Springs location, Coral Springs Medical and Dental. The ideal candidate will provide patients with high-quality treatment, diagnostic services, and be an intuitive healthcare professional whose clinical skills are only matched by their concern for their patients. The person in the Dentist role will be responsible for providing continuity of care that is comprehensive, convenient, cost effective, efficient and that meet state and national standards for caregiving. The right candidate will have a passion for providing world-class dental care to patients and will enjoy working closely with patients and their families. The Dentist must also demonstrate the ability the operate independently and effectively collaborate with management, internal/external healthcare professionals and other staff. Dentist responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Perform comprehensive examinations including, but not limited to, the teeth, gums, jaw, the muscles of the head, neck and jaw, tongue, salivary glands, the nervous system of the head and neck and other areas. • Ability to perform procedures such as biopsies, diagnostic tests for chronic infectious diseases, salivary gland function and screening tests for oral cancer. • Diagnosing oral diseases. • Promoting oral health and disease prevention. • Creating treatment plans to maintain or restore the oral health of patients. • Interpreting x-rays and diagnostic tests. • Ensuring safe administration of anesthetics. • Proving patients with needed prescriptions and timely prescription refills when needed. • Gain full working knowledge of, and demonstrate efficiency on, electronic medical records system. • Monitoring growth and development of the teeth and jaw as well as performing surgical procedures on the teeth, bone, and soft tissues of the oral cavity. • Administers oxygen and nitrous oxide as needed for anesthetic (conscious sedation) purposes. • Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; and keeping patient information • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with all legal regulations. • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications. • Serves and protects the practice by adhering to professional standards; facility policies and procedures; and federal, state, and local requirements. • Order laboratory and radiology tests and refer patients to specialists when appropriate. • Adhere to departmental policies, procedures and objectives, ongoing quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental, and infection control standards. • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws. • Record complete, timely and legible medical records. • Participate in conferences, workshops, and outside activities to promote and enhance personal development and awareness of the dental facility within the community. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications for Dentist • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred. • Experience providing dental and diagnostic services in a clinical setting. • Experience prescribing appropriate medications, treatments, and health regimens to treat patient health issues. • Experience collaborating with specialists to explore patient dental conditions and diagnose dental issues. • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail. • Experience working in a team of healthcare professionals and collaborating with them to ensure positive, effective patient experiences with our organization. • Responsible and trustworthy. • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, attention to detail, compassion, approachable, and patient. Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements: • Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from an accredited dental institution. • Current active license to practice dentistry in the State of Florida. • Sedation permit for conscious sedation. • Valid malpractice liability insurance. • 3+ years clinical experience in a dental practice. • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) system. • Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Automated External Defibrillator (ACLS and AED) Coral Springs Dental Group, LLC is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability status, veteran status, marital status, citizenship status, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other characteristic protected by law.
