REGISTERED DENTAL ASSISTANT: Are you looking for a dental office with a great working environment where you can learn and grow? Join our modern dental pediatric practice in North San Antonio! We are seeking a dental assistant who likes children, is motivated, has a great attitude, strong work ethic, experience in a pedo office or with children, and preferably bilingual (Sp). 1 yr experience preferred. Full-time position from Tuesday through Saturday (half a day on Saturday). The successful candidate must be passionate about continuing education, be comfortable with and knowledgeable about dental software, be a team player and be committed to excellence. We offer a competitive hourly wage based on experience and skills level, a bonus system, paid time off (after 1 yr), retirement savings plan (after 60 days), gas allowance and more! SALARY RAGE: $14 to $20/hr RESPONSIBILITIES Take and document patient dental history and updates, as well as overall health and medication history Assist dentist by handling supplies and instruments as requested Prepare tables and trays for dentist with necessary instruments and supplies Clean and sterilize instruments, and prepare treatment rooms as needed Take high quality dental radiographs Ensure appropriate supply of equipment and materials Perform patient charting as instructed by the dentist Welcome patients and get them situated in the appropriate treatment room QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required Licensed as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or a Registered Dental Assistant in Extended Functions (RDAEF) Current CPR certification preferred Radiology certification preferred 1+ years of experience as an RDA Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proven ability to follow outlined policies and guidelines Possess a professional and positive attitude We offer an excellent compensation package.
