Description

Registered Dental Hygienist Generations Family Dental Care is searching for the right hygienist to add to our dental family. Our one doctor office has two locations, one in Southfield and one in Macomb. We are a growing office and have opened a third hygiene chair. While we are still working on booking it completely we are looking for someone reliable so we can confidently book our patients with you. The job hours will change slightly to fit the needs of the office. We work Monday through Thursday and one Friday, Saturday a month. If youre tired of working somewhere that does appreciate you or compensate you properly for your time there is no need to keep looking. Our office prides itself on our culture. We truly are a family and work very hard together to make the office flow perfectly. We love to have fun all day while getting the job done. We require excellent communication skills with both patients and co-workers. Soft tissue management skills, some pediatric skills, and the desire to be self-managed. With our offices being chartless we do require computer skills and the willingness to learn the dental software. We also would love if you’re LBR certified, if not we want to send you to get certified. Your daily duties would include but will not be limited to: · Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination · Sterilize dental instruments properly · Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history · Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis · Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride) · Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques) · Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures · Take X-rays or dental impressions · Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer) · Maintain documentation and charts on each patient · Monitor supplies · Recall during down time
