The schedule will not exceed 8 hrs/day or 40 hrs/week. -Benefits: Competitive financial package with a comprehensive insurance package including health, dental, vision, and life coverage. Please ask your recruiter for more information. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Dental Hygienist must have the following qualifications: -Degree/Education: Associated Degree or higher. -Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support (BLS): Certified in radiography. -Experience: At a minimum, the dental hygienist shall have a minimum of 1 year of experience following graduation from dental hygiene school. The dental hygienist shall have been performing clinical hygiene services during 12 of the last 36 months. -Licensure/Registration: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Dental Hygienist. Responsibilities: -Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination -Sterilize dental instruments properly -Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history -Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis -Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride) -Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques) -Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures -Take X-rays or dental impressions -Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer) -Maintain documentation and charts on each patient -Monitor supplies Skills: -Proven experience as Dental Hygienist or similar role -In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA) -Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment -Outstanding communication skills -A patient and friendly personality -Attention to detail -Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job APPLY HERE: Due to contractual obligations with the DoD, Health Care Workers performing under this contract must either be a U.S. citizen, or as defined by the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship, and Immigration Services, either a noncitizen national of the United States, lawful permanent resident of the United States, or alien authorized to work in the United States.
