Saks Orthodontics is looking to expand our team! Our established and professional orthodontic practice is looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and articulate, Sterilization Technician. Position: Sterilization technician This person has an essential role in the orthodontic journey of each and every patient. Job duties: Processing and sterilizing instruments in a very fast paced but upbeat environment. Ensuring Dr. Saks and our clinical team have everything they need to treat our patients in a timely and efficient manner. We are willing to train the right personality. Saks Orthodontics is looking to hire a full-time Orthodontic Sterilization and Records Technician to our growing team! This is an entry level clinical position in our office. We are looking to hire a new team member who is patient-oriented, hard-working, energetic, positive, team-player, friendly and outgoing! We are a busy and patient focused office, so our ideal candidate must be able to work well in a fast-paced and high energy environment. The primary job duties will include sterilization and cleaning instruments, taking records on new patients (i.e., taking photographs of new patients, including intraoral/facial photos and taking x-rays after you have become certified), performing intraoral scans on patients, and assisting other members of our clinical team. Sterilizing dental instruments, dis-infecting dental chair units between patients, and depending on experience doing simple, non-invasive, procedures on patients such as records appointments. Preparing trays for procedures (setup with appropriate instruments/auxiliary items) Proven attention to detail and accuracy. Communicate with a high-level understanding of dental and orthodontic terminology. Customer service support experience preferred, but not required. Proven customer service skills, communication skills and experience handling sensitive matters with tact and diplomacy. Experience interacting with all levels of a professional organization. Self-starter and fast learner requiring minimal direction. We are a fun and energetic Orthodontic specialty practice. The candidate must have full-time availability Monday-Friday from 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM. If the candidate is not already x-ray certified in the state of NC, after 90 days of employment the candidate must take the Oral Radiography certification training. We will pay for the course and for the registration fee for the exam. We pride ourselves in putting our patients and their parents first and foremost, and customer service is paramount in our office.
