Job details Salary: $16 - $22 an hour Job Type: Full-time Part-time Number of hires for this role: 2 Qualifications: • High school or equivalent (Required) • US work authorization (Required) • Dental assisting: 2 year (Required) Full Job Description: The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Assistant position consists of assisting all Oral Surgeons including residents with surgical procedure in a clinic and operating room setting. They must maintain all operatories including practicing and adhering to infection control protocols to ensure smooth patient flow and understand the various surgical set-ups. Assistants must be knowledgeable about privacy policies regarding HIPAA and must provide a comfortable environment for patient(s). Certification to take radiographs and/or DAANCE in anesthesia is preferred, but are willing to train for the right candidate. Responsibilities: • Providing technical assistance and support for providers during Plastic and Oral surgery examinations and procedures • Following established procedures and instructions, providing basic direct care to the patients of POMS • Obtaining, measuring and recording vital signs for all patients who visit the clinic • Preparing instruments and treatment materials • Obtaining radiographic images and necessary documentation • Cleaning and sterilizing all rooms and equipment Qualifications: • A High school diploma or its equivalent, GED • Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) by the Dental Assistant National Board is preferred • 2-4 YR of previous experience as an Oral Surgery Assistant isRequired • Current Radiology Certification is preferred or required within 6 months of employment • Basic CPR Certification is Required • Certification as a Dental Anesthesia Assistant by the America Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons is preferred within one year of employment Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $16.00 - 22.00 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) • Employee assistance program • Employee discount • Paid time off • Referral program Medical Specialty: • Anesthesiology • Radiology • Surgery Schedule: • 7 hour shift Supplemental Pay: • Bonus pay COVID-19 considerations: All patients and staff must wear masks at all times.
