From comprehensive dental checkups and teeth cleanings twice a year to state-of-the-art same-day dental restorations with CEREC®, we offer a full range of dentistry services for any oral health needs. We are happy to treat patients experiencing a dental emergency, and in most cases, we are able to provide appointments on the same day patients call us. Position Overview: We are looking to hire an experienced Associate Dentist to perform routine and complex dental procedures on patients according to their oral health needs and cosmetic concerns. The Associate Dentist’s responsibilities include developing suitable treatment plans for patients, keeping an accurate record of all appointments, diagnoses, and treatments, and answering patients’ questions. You should also be able to oversee the work of the technical and administrative staff. Job Description: - Examining patients teeth and gums to diagnose and treat various oral health issues. - Utilizing X-rays and computer-generated imaging to assist with examinations. - Providing dental treatments to patients, including routine cleanings, extractions, dental fillings, cavity, and tooth decay treatments, teeth whitening, bonding, and applications of dental crowns, caps, and veneers. - Administering local anesthesia to patients as needed. - Educating patients on good oral hygiene practices and advising them on proper aftercare following certain dental procedures. - Performing oral cancer screenings. - Prescribing antibiotics and pain medications to patients as required. - Ensuring that all dental instruments and equipment are sterilized before each use. - Taking impressions of patients’ mouths for the fabrication of customized mouthguards and dentures. Skills and Qualifications: - Doctor of dental surgery (DDS) or doctor of medicine in dentistry (DMD) - State license to practice dentistry - CPR certification - Proven experience working in a dental practice - The ability to use various dental instruments and equipment - The ability to remain calm in stressful situations - The ability to work in a team - Good hand-eye coordination - Excellent communication skills - Helpful and polite Characteristics to be Successful: - Patient-focused and personable - Willingness to grow, coach, and be coached - Proactive and is not afraid to take initiative - Motivated and goal-oriented - Strives in a fast-paced environment with little to no downtime - Organized with meticulous attention to detail - Intelligent and able to problem solve - proactive rather than reactive - Upbeat personality - High Performing Team Player that can join a culture of teamwork and collaboration - Ability to organically converse and develop lasting relationships with patients Hours of Operations: - Monday, Wednesday, and Thursdays: 12 pm - 7 pm - Tuesdays and Fridays: 9 am - 5 pm - Saturdays: 8 am - 2:30 pm Salary: This is a full-time position that pays between $180,000 - 225,000/annually. All salary suggestions will be considered and reviewed for final sign-off at the time of offer but are not guaranteed. Job Type: Full-time
