Description

Seeking an experienced scheduling coordinator. Duties/Responsibilities: . Schedule patient appointments and procedures for multiple surgeons with appropriate provider and time/location slot, utilizing appropriate scheduling guidelines. . Manage and answer high volume incoming calls accurately, including: new patient calls, emergencies, and follow ups. . Be comfortable with individual doctor and practice scheduling protocols, insurances, general and specialty services to create an exceptional patient-centered experience and “first impression” with new patients. . Obtain accurate information from patients and ensure that all demographic information is complete, and enter information in practice management software. . Respond to scheduling changes/cancellations in a timely, accurate manner. . Maintain strictest confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines. . Follow-up on patient experience by calling patients to receive feedback on our processes. . Understand dental procedures and dental terminology for proper scheduling and treatment coordinating. . Work closely with clinical staff and other front office staff to assure smooth flow of patient care. . Perform general front office duties as required. Required Skills/Abilities: . Excellent verbal and written communication/phone skills. . Solid attention to detail skills to ensure accuracy of surgical scheduling and information gathering. . Possess excellent organizational skills, able to self-direct, and perform job duties in a timely manner. . Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills. . Able to work effectively with surgeons, staff members, and patients under varying conditions. . Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. . Able to follow and apply established office policies and procedures. . Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information (HIPAA). . Working knowledge of medical or dental terminology and insurance. . Strong computer skills; experience with dental software desired.
