The SomnoMed Operations Dental Technician is an important member of our team. This position is expected to assist with the smooth flow of processes associated in the new case inbound and outbound to manufacturing Operations Department. This position includes opening of received packages, detailed documentation for new cases, monitoring workflow, pouring dental impressions, grinding, and grooming models to pass QC requirements in preparation for scanning. This person is expected to be hard working with a detailed mind set, and positive can-do attitude. Will follow the instructions of the team leader, and cross-train as needed in other areas. Principal activities: New Case Receiving: -Receive, unpack, document, disinfect, and prepare all new incoming cases. -Match models to correct pans by utilizing pan number and patient name prior to scanning. -Learn processes and procedures for use of Universal Precautions. -Ability to learn system requirements for entering sales orders. -Adhere to work instructions and processes to deal with non-conforming orders. Model Room: -Pour dental impressions and grind models to required dimensions from impressions sent by our customers. -Trim models per work instruction in preparation of scanning and sending files to Central Production Facility. -Ability to work standing, walking, pushing, lifting, and sitting for long periods of time. -Track inventory in work area. Refill and re-set nightly for the next day. Outbound to Manufacturing: -Assist with QC of new cases as instructed by QC lead prior to scanning. -Properly and accurately enter order information for sales orders. -Trim and groom models to satisfy QC requirements. -Learn to QC models and bites per established requirements. -Record identifying order information on the models. -Assist with the generation of shipping labels. -Any other duties assigned by team lead or management. Skills -Work quickly and accurately with attention to detail. -Ability to strongly adhere to processes and procedures. -Dental technology or dental school background a plus. -Experience in FDA regulated environment also a plus. Other responsibilities: -Be able to cross-train and help in other areas as needed. -Report problems and concerns to management. -Clean and disinfect work areas daily and thoroughly every week. -Ability to work well in a team centered environment. This is an in-office position located in Plano 75024. Candidate should be able to commute daily, Monday-Friday.
