Heart of Vinings Dentistry
Our private dental practice is looking for a long-term registered dental hygienist to join our team. Carol, one of our amazing hygienists, is retiring soon and we want to put her loyal patients into the hands of a hygienist equally as special. At Heart of Vinings Dentistry, we provide whole health dentistry to our patients and take pride in our service and our integrity. We strive to support work-life balance for our team members and encourage everyone to have fun at work! As the hygiene team lead, I am so proud of the growth and success our department has had in treating our patients beyond “cleaning teeth”. Our hygienists are trusted and empowered to truly care for our patient’s health. We are encouraged to broaden our knowledge base and provide the best services available to our patients. We control our schedule and have the flexibility to adjust the timing for those patients who need more of our help. Our office uses a block scheduling system so we are sure to have a variety of appointment types available. Our department partners with the doctors in co-diagnosing and we enjoy autonomy in our work. We schedule 1 hour for wellness visits and two hours for new patients, so you have time to connect with and educate each person in your care! We care about your well-being and understand the strain that dentistry can put on the body. We do not perform assisted hygiene. Your operatory will have a brand new Cavitron Prophyjet and a saddle chair. The instrument packs include Hu-Friedy Ever Edge and American Eagle XP instruments to reduce the risk of strain on your wrists and hands. There is also a gorgeous view to enjoy from your floor-to-ceiling window. We are looking for someone 4-5 days per week. Our office hours vary slightly from day to day. Monday 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM with lunch from 1:00 - 2:00, Tuesday and Thursday 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM with lunch from 1:00 - 2:00, and Friday 7:00-2:00 pm straight through. The qualities we are looking for include: Compatibility and comradery with our entire team. Unwavering professionalism. Warm, empathetic, and encouraging demeanor. Strong periodontal assessment and treatment skills. At least two years of experience in a general dentistry office. Excellent communication and education capabilities. Critical thinking skills and attention to detail. Growth mindset. Our hygiene team is fully committed to health care and embraces services and technology that serve our patients overall health. What you can expect from us: Competitive salary with monthly bonus potential. Open dialogue with your department lead. A no-stress training period to get accustomed to our systems. Accrued PTO and six paid holidays annually. Paid CE, 401(k) matching, dental services allowance, Scrub reimbursement, and medical insurance. Quarterly team-building outings and events. A regular schedule and one-hour lunches. All the PPE you need to practice safely and Synexis installed in the office to neutralize viral particles, bacteria, mold, and spores. www.synexis.com Our office is fully digital. We regularly utilize intraoral cameras, iTero scanners, and CBCT imaging. The office uses Open Dental practice software and Dental Intel. Experience with these platforms is a plus, but not mandatory. Apply today and become one of our treasured team members!
