Description

Looking for an experienced, outgoing dental hygienist with strong interpersonal skills to join our friendly team in Bel Air, Maryland. This is a permanent, part-time position with no evenings, Fridays or weekends. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: (1) Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling, varnish and sealants, and root planning. (2) Complete a thorough assessment for the patients teeth, bone and periodontal tissues, and document any abnormalities or suspected conditions. Use of an oral camera helpful. (3) Customize care to meet patients oral health. (4) Educate patients on good oral hygiene techniques. Have the ability to explain, and answer questions regarding various dental procedures recommended by the doctor. (5) Aid the dentist with procedures and emergencies as needed. (6) Maintain patient confidentiality. We are a paperless office and knowledge of CareStream Softdent Software is not necessary but would be very helpful, as everything is charted on the computer.
