We are looking to hire a part-time bubbly dental receptionist to complete our team! The best person for this position will be dedicated to our patients and making sure they receive a family-feel environment in the office. Other dental receptionists’ main responsibilities include making sure the schedule stays full, entering patient information into our data system, answering patients’ questions, and calling patients for re-care. You should also be able to close out a patient’s appointment, collect payment and schedule their follow-up appointments. To be successful as a dental receptionist, you should be able to organize and maintain patient waiting areas as well as front-desk areas. Ultimately, a top-performing dental receptionist will perform all duties in a manner that ensures the efficient running of the dental practice. Dental Receptionist Responsibilities: • Greeting and welcoming patients to the practice by establishing a relationship with them. • Being the first to answer the phones. • Scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling appointments as needed. • Assisting patients to fill out information forms and ensuring these are done in a timely manner prior to the appointment. • Preparing patients’ charts and daily schedules for the dental staff and hygienist. • Updating patient records and documenting recent treatments and procedures. • Entering ADA codes for patient appointments. • Scheduling follow-up appointments and providing telephonic reminders. • Communicating with dental insurance providers to determine patient benefits. • Verifying methods of payment and collecting payments as needed. • Performing general office duties such as photocopying, filing, and faxing. • Assisting the team with any needs they may have momentarily. Our Requirements: • High school diploma or GED. • Proven experience of at least 1 year working in a dental office. • Sound knowledge of dental terminology. • Proficient in dental practice management software (Eaglesoft). • Working knowledge of general administrative practices. • Good telephone etiquette. • Exceptional organizational skills. • Excellent customer service skills. Hours: Monday-Thursday 7:45 am - 1:00 pm Friday 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
