We are looking for an outstanding Dental Hygienist to help treat patients and promote good oral health practices. Your leadership in this position contributes greatly to the positive culture and environment we seek for our staff and patients. Dental Hygienist duties revolve around conducting initial patient screenings, cleaning teeth (e.g. removing plaque), and advising patients on oral health and preventative care. You will help with treatments for teeth or gum diseases and handle dental emergencies. As a Dental Hygienist, you should be reliable and able to build trust with patients of all ages. The position requires a strong passion for dentistry and caring for the oral health of your patients. We work relentlessly on giving the most relaxing, blissful, and calm experience to our patients while addressing their familys dental needs. You must have a great bedside manner with patients and have a team-oriented and leadership attitude. Qualifications Registered Dental Hygienist (Required) Nitrous Oxide Certification (Preferred) CPR (Required) Responsibilities Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination Sterilize dental instruments properly Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride) Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques) Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures Take X-rays or dental impressions Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer) Maintain documentation and charts on each patient Monitor supplies Skills Proven experience as Dental Hygienist In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA) Outstanding communication skills A patient and friendly personality Attention to detail Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job Digital X-Rays Valid license to practice Dental Software knowledge Job Types: Part Time Benefits: Health insurance Paid time off 401K Vision Life Schedule: Monday to Thursday Daily 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Experience: Registered Dental Hygienist Hours per week: 32 Hours Per Week This Job Is Ideal for Someone Who Is: Dependable -- more reliable than spontaneous People-oriented -- enjoys interacting with people and working on group projects Adaptable/flexible -- enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction
