A.A.S., B.S. or Master’s degree from an accredited Dental Hygiene Program ? Licensed by State of Louisiana Dental Board ? Licensed to administer local anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide ? 2 years’ experience preferred ? Proficient in using computers/dental software (we use Dentrix Ascend) ? Proficient in managing your own ideal scheduling ? Able to perform clinical hygiene functions thoroughly, such as taking/evaluating diagnostic X-rays, recording blood pressure, and complete tooth and periodontal charting ? Extraordinary verbal skills ? Proficient in discussing and enrolling patients in ideal periodontal and dental treatments ? Performing adult and child prophylaxis ? Providing non-surgical periodontal therapy, i.e. scaling and root planing ? Proficient in topical fluoride placement ? Intraoral camera use ? 5-Star patient care and customer service ? Positive, team player with a winning personality and professionalism ? Warm chair-side manner and hospitality Greater consideration for those who are: ? Certified in providing laser-assisted periodontal therapy ? Proficient in taking extra-oral and intra-oral photos with Shofu EyeSpeial Dental Camera ? Experienced with assisted hygiene ? Experienced in tracking and measuring their own production ? Proficient in offering and providing (any adjunctive treatments you offer (Arestin, Atridox, PerioProtect, etc.)) Job Type: Full-time Required hours: Monday - Thursday 8:45am to 5pm Friday 8:45am to 3pm Pay: $40 per hour Benefits: Heath Insurance paid at 50% after 90 days Vacation Pay after 1 year Holiday Pay after 90 days 401Simple Plan after 6 months
