Clark General Dentistry Centerl has an immediate opening for a dental assistant to be a part of our growing team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year experience as a dental assistant. The candidate must be energetic and a team player. They must have an open mind and be willing to accept new challenges. Experience with Dentrix and Dexis are preferred but we will gladly train the right person. Primary Responsibilities Responsible for assisting the dentist in the clinical treatment of patients Specific Duties Review appointment schedule at the beginning of each day to discuss patient care and anticipate changes to treatment. Ensure treatment rooms are properly equipped daily to efficiently render treatment during dental procedures. Obtain, review, and update health histories Correctly chart previous, existing, and recommended treatment as determined by Dentist Mix dental materials Perform clinical procedures as directed by dentist Give patient instruction and demonstrate when necessary Complete patient notes by the end of the working day The office is open the first Saturday of each month. Sterilize all instruments and hand pieces according to OSHA regulations Effectively disinfect treatment rooms according to OSHA regulations Inventory Management, including rotating date sensitive materials and removing from stock if necessary Help in other areas of the dental office as assigned by Dentist and Office Manager Education/Experience Completion of Dental or Surgical Assisting Diploma At least one year clinical dental experience Compliance with state dental practice requirements Must have at least one year experience using digital practice software Radiology certification is required. A full benefit package is available to the team member. Salary is negotiable.
