Live Oak Periodontics and Implant Dentistry Specialty Office and Wecare Family Dentistry ( Located on Bandera Road) is looking fulltime/ part time Dental Hygienist to join our close-knit team. We are looking for someone with at least a minimum of 2 years of dental experience. Must have a positive personality and very energetic. The ideal candidate will have a calm, reassuring and friendly demeanor as well as the ability to multitask in a fast-paced atmosphere. We have state of the art technology and you must be comfortable with computers and a paperless environment. We use Eaglesoft for our dental software. Office hours are Mon-Friday 8:30 am-5:30 pm. Our goal is to maintain a fun; energetic and friendly Atmosphere for staff and patients. Applicants must have a positive attitude and be comfortable with quality customer service. You can fax your resume to [sign in to DentalPost to see current contact info]or e-mail to [sign in to DentalPost to see current contact info] Dental Hygienist skills • Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene required (Bachelor’s preferred) • Current state license required • 3+ years’ experience as a Dental Hygienist • 5+ years’ experience as a Dental Assistant also accepted • Excellent verbal communication skills • Basic understanding and knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules • Current CPR certification required Dental Hygienist responsibilities • Collect medical and dental histories from patients • Chart dental conditions based on dentist’s observations and evaluations • Sterilize dental instruments and tools • Instruct patients of all ages on proper dental hygiene and care • Take X-rays of patients’ teeth for dentist’s use • Provide chair-side assistance during dental procedures
