PART TIME POSITION: We are looking for a fantastic Registered Dental Assistant in Orthodontics (LRDA-O). MUST be registered as an LRDA-O with the State of NJ. Must be friendly, a good team player, have a positive attitude, have high energy, have good communication skills, be punctual, be organized and neat. HOURS: Monday 9-5, Thursday 9-5, Friday 9-5 (limited Summer Friday hours), one Saturday per month 9:15 - 1:00 (usually the first Saturday of the month, no Saturday hours for July and August). Approximately 20-25 hours per week. THIS IS A PART TIME POSITION FOR A CERTIFIED ORTHODONTIC ASSISTANT- PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU ARE NOT CERTIFIED, OR IF YOU NEED FULL TIME WITH BENEFITS. REQUIREMENTS: LRDA-O (Limited Registered Dental Assistant in Orthodontics, which includes NJ x-ray license) JOB RESPONSIBILITIES will include, but are not limited to: - greet all patients and parents by name and with a smile, and seat them in treatment area and bring back to front desk at end of appointment - clean chairs, set up and sterilize instruments, keep office and materials clean and organized - adhere to all OSHA and HIPAA guidelines at all times - take orthodontic records (digital photos, digital x-rays, iTero scan and/or alginate impressions) - assist the doctor with all stages, phases and modalities of orthodontic treatment - review home care and hygiene instructions with patients and parents - take inventory and order supplies - fabricate Essix retainers, and other lab work Compensation based on experience.
