NOT CORPORATE!! NO WEEKENDS and HALF DAY FRIDAYS! We are looking for a registered dental hygienist to join our established 1 doctor private practice that opened in July 2006. A team player who is kind, honest, caring, compassionate, and dedicated to providing quality oral health care to our patients would be the ideal candidate. We have three hygienists working each day. We allow 60 minutes recall appointments for adult and children w/ full dentition and 90 minutes for new patient appointments for 16 years old and up. Our office only accepts PPO insurances. Responsibilities/Requirements: • Diagnose periodontal disease • Perform Non-surgical periodontal therapy w/ cavitron, including full mouth debridement • Document the presence of any abnormalities or suspected diseases or conditions while screening patients’ teeth, bone, and periodontal tissues, and maintain the health of implants • Chart dental restorations, submit treatment plans to insurance coordinator • Provide oral prophylaxis, fluoride, sealants, and preventive dentistry procedures such as Silver Diamine Fluoride application • Take Intra Oral photos and digital x-rays • Fill out referrals as necessary • Educate and instruct patients on importance of dental health, proper oral hygiene; offer recommendations for products/services; provide other health care education as necessary • Schedule follow-up appointments and recommend patient recall intervals such as 3 mos / 4 mos / 6 mos • Ensure all OSHA, Dental Board, and WDS policies and procedures are properly followed • Documentation and charting within Dentrix; Electronic Health Records with Dexis • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Includes end of day cleaning of personal operatory and floors • We accept an Associate or Bachelor degree • 1 year of work experience preferred, but new grads are welcome! :) • Must have a current X-Ray License and CPR certification • Nitrous monitoring license preferred • Willing to learn how to do Zoom Whitening and how to use Intra Oral Scanner to take digital impressions using an iTero • Hours are Monday-Thursday 8:00AM-5:00PM and Friday 7:00/8:00AM-12:00PM Benefits: • Competitive salary based on experience. • Free dental treatment for yourself (excluding lab fee) • Paid holidays • Paid Vacation • Free monthly alignments with our local Chiropractor!
