Job Title: Orthodontic Assistant DEPARTMENT: Clinical SUMMARY: Provide excellent patient care through clinical duties and administrative tasks while adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Prepare patient, sterilize or disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, prepare materials, or assist dentist during procedures. • Assist with placement and removal of appliances as directed by doctor. • Record treatment information in patient records. • Assist dentist in management of medical or dental emergencies. • Order and monitor supplies and equipment inventory. • Take and Expose dental diagnostic x-rays; prepare scans for lab. • Maintain accurate and current manuals for documentation of equipment function. • Assist with training of new team members. • Performs other related duties as assigned by management. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
