Description

Surgical Dental Assistant Seeking a personable and organized surgical dental assistant for our periodontal practice. Minimum 1 year experience is a requirement. Experience in a periodontal / surgical dental practice is ideal but not mandatory. Team member must be motivated, driven, professional, punctual, organized, committed to the success of the team, and exhibit the personal skills to properly manage patients and collaborate with all referring dental offices. Our entire team works together to help patients achieve optimal periodontal health. We are looking for a warm, friendly person who can help patients feel comfortable with surgical treatment. While it is the doctor who performs the surgery, it is usually the dental assistant who helps a patient open up and be forthcoming during the consultation appointment and then eases their mind and relaxes them the day of surgery. Daily duties include: chairside assisting for surgery, setting up and breaking down / cleaning rooms, instrument cleaning and maintenance, taking radiographs (including CBCTs) and intra-oral scans, inputting clinical notes into Dentrix, drafting patient correspondence letters to referring doctors in Microsoft Word, and stocking inventory. Experience in these skills is helpful but not mandatory. We are happy to train any new team member. However, it is not as easy to train someone to be organized, to work hard, to work efficiently, to be reliable, and to come to work with a positive attitude. We are firm believers in finding good people and finding how they best fit in our practice. While our office is in Dallas, we do travel to Ft. Worth 3 times a month to perform surgeries at the office of a general dentist. Team members are well financially compensated for gas. We are a close-knit team who enjoy working together, and we are excited to grow our family. Please provide your resume and any referrals in your application. Thank you.
