Job: We are seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to join our team! We are a private practice orthodontic office in Richardson Texas and are looking for an orthodontic assistant to join our growing team. We are looking for someone who is great with kids, a team player, and someone who enjoys a fun work environment. Our ideal candidate is positive, energetic, friendly and a quick learner. Competitive Pay and Benefits: -Paid time off -Paid vacations -Employee Discounts -Team building opportunities Compensation: Based on experience Bonuses: -Available based on performance Job Responsibility: The Orthodontic Assistant provides support to the office and is responsible for assisting the Orthodontist with patients. -Adapts to each individual and provides excellent chair side manner. -Gets ready all necessary cassettes, hand pieces, materials, and instruments the Orthodontist to use chairside. -Delivers quality and compassionate care to every patient. -Accurately charts and documents all notes pertaining to the patient during the exam and treatment -Educates patients on the oral healthcare of braces and their appliances. -Takes diagnostic x-rays and photos. -Takes impressions, pours and fabricates stints and study models. -Stocks drawers, cleans, and sets up/breaks down patient chairs daily. -Communicates with parents/patients at the end of each visit to address concerns and answers treatment questions. -Attends and participates in all office meetings, continuing education events and daily huddles. -Based on patient flow, assists other Orthodontic Assistants and Sterilization Technician. -Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: -A minimum of a high school degree or equivalent is required. -Previous orthodontic assisting experience preferred -Bilingual preferred but not required. Certifications: - Current RDA - CPR preferred but not required
