Description

We are currently looking for a full-time or part-time hygienist to join our team. Join the Ballantyne team and be a part of a culture who inspires and encourages growth. We use state of the art technology and follow advanced hygiene concepts. **Job Description:** - Perform dental hygiene procedures, including dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing - Medical history updates and blood pressure readings - Conduct thorough patient assessments, including oral cancer screenings and periodontal evaluations - Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) as needed - Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, disease prevention, and treatment options - Administer local anesthesia and/or nitrous oxide as directed by the dentist - Document treatment plans, procedures, and patient progress accurately in electronic health records - Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care - Maintain infection control and sterilization protocols in accordance with OSHA and CDC guidelines **Requirements:** - Licensed dental hygienist in North Carolina - Strong clinical skills and knowledge of dental hygiene procedures - Proficiency in taking dental radiographs - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to educate and motivate patients to maintain optimal oral health - Attention to detail and commitment to patient comfort and safety - CPR certification - Certification for administering local anesthetic preferred **Benefits:** (if applying for part-time, please reach out to Jackie for benefit details) - 4 day work week - Paid time off - Paid vacation and holidays - Monthly bonus after 90-day training period - Continuing education opportunities - Positive work environment with a supportive team - Dental for you and your spouse/children - Scrubs provided after 90 days **How to Apply:** Please send your resume and cover letter to [sign in to DentalPost to see current contact info]
