Crossroads Pediatric Dentistry is a brand-new practice located in the state-of-the-art IMH Aurora Crossroads Medical Building in Aurora, CO. Our practice emphasizes the partnership between each child, their family, and our team to deliver world-class pediatric dental care. POSITION: Pediatric Dental Assistant SCHEDULE: At least three days a week, with the potential to increase to full-time (four days per week). COMPENSATION: $23.00 to $25.00 per hour (with potential increase with experience and training). RESPONSIBILITIES: • Educate children and families about oral hygiene, including toothbrushing and flossing. • Make patients and families feel welcome with a compassionate, positive approach. • Escort patients and families to and from the waiting area and prep them for care. • Review medical history, needed radiographs, and treatment notes for each patient before visits. • Record all diagnostic and treatment information in patient charts (Curve). • Maintain cleanliness of the dental lab and sterilization area. • Maintain all chemical solutions in compliance with OSHA protocols. • Prepare treatment rooms, including set-up, decontamination, and restocking. • Follow infection control policies and safety regulations. • Take dental radiographs as directed. • Assist chairside for various dental procedures in the office and hospital setting. • Cross-train for front desk duties, including scheduling, check-out, payment collection, and insurance verification. • Order necessary dental supplies. • Provide post-operative care instructions and make follow-up calls to patients. QUALIFICATIONS: • Registered or Certified Dental Assistant. • High school diploma or GED. • At least 1 year of dental assisting experience, with knowledge of standard dental office equipment. • Valid x-ray certification (preferred). • CPR/BLS certification (preferred but can be arranged after hiring). • Proof of healthcare-related vaccinations required before starting work. • Experience working with children and families. • Excellent communication skills; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is a plus. • Positive attitude and a passion for knowledge-sharing, continuous learning, and educating children/families. • Punctuality and a can-do attitude. • Outstanding customer service skills, a collaborative attitude, and openness to constructive feedback.
