**Patient Coordinator** Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, managing patient records, and ensuring seamless communication with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies. Duties - Provide patient care by answering phone calls, responding to emails, and greeting patients in a friendly and professional manner. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including demographics, medical history, and insurance information. - Utilize DENTRIX to manage patient data, track appointments, and schedule surgeries. - Review patient records and ensure all necessary information is complete and accurate before scheduling appointments. - Perform dental coding and billing tasks, including submitting claims to insurance companies. - Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to ensure timely and accurate payment for medical services. - Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, maintaining confidentiality and security of patient records and information. - Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth transitions of patient care. - Provide administrative support to the dental team, including preparing documents and correspondence. Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Experience indental billing, coding, or a related field preferred. - Strong knowledge of dental terminology and coding. - Familiarity with Dentrix. - Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. - Experience working in a hospital or medical office setting preferred. - Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance procedures. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
