Dream Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Hygiene Assistant to join our team in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and imaging, along with the ability to support clinical staff effectively. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth workflow and providing excellent patient care. *Duties* - Assist healthcare professionals in various procedures, including Pediatrics. - Prepare and maintain medical equipment and instruments, ensuring they are sterile and ready for use. - Perform X-Ray imaging as required, adhering to safety protocols. - Support medical coding tasks by accurately documenting patient information and procedures. - Utilize Open Dental software for patient management and record keeping. - Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy to assist in patient assessments and treatment plans. - Maintain an aseptic technique during all clinical procedures to ensure patient safety. - Communicate effectively with patients, providing them with information regarding their treatment and care. - Collaborate with team members to enhance operational efficiency and patient satisfaction. *Qualifications* - Previous experience in a pediatric setting is preferred but not required. - Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and aseptic techniques is highly desirable. - Proficiency in using Open Dental or similar practice management software is advantageous. - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well within a team environment. - Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately are essential for this role. - Must be committed to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in healthcare.
