Our dental office in Cheviot is looking to add a dental hygienist to our team. You would be a key member of our dental team responsible for providing high-quality care and education to our patients. Our office prioritizes work-life balance and nearly all prophylaxis appointments are scheduled for 1 hour to allow enough time for you to provide excellent care for our patients. Duties: • Provide preventive care, including but not limited to: scaling, polishing, flossing, and professionally applied fluoride • Perform nonsurgical periodontal therapy • Obtain dental radiographs for patients • Educate and effectively communicate with patients regarding the status of their oral health • Update medical histories • Document the condition of patients’ oral health and treatment needs as determined during exams • Reappoint patients for recall visits • Utilize proper infection control and aseptic technique • Help with sterilization of instruments along with break down and set up of operatories after treatment • Other duties as assigned Requirements: • Associate or bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene • Current licensure to practice as a registered dental hygienist in the state of Ohio • Current CPR certification • Familiarity with dental practice management and dental imaging software (our office uses Dentrix and DEXIS) • Excellent clinical, communication, and documentation skills • Ability to collaborate with team members and receptiveness to constructive feedback Benefits: Our office offers very competitive compensation and holiday pay. Schedule: A full-time dental hygienist at our practice typically works 30-35 hours over a 4-day workweek. Our office is also open to part-time work. Patients are scheduled from 8 AM - 4 PM with a 30-minute lunch break on Mondays and Fridays and 8 AM – 5 PM with a 1-hour lunch break on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We are off almost all Wednesdays, but there will be some weeks where the office may be open on a Wednesday due to being off another day(s) that week. Team members will be given adequate advance notice to switch plans for days off in these circumstances.
