COGGIN DENTAL GROUP is a thriving, family owned, fee-for-service general dentistry practice that is walking distance from the Battery and right in the heart of one of the fastest growing areas of the city. Description: The job you want and the place you want to work Coggin Dental Group is seeking a kind, compassionate, articulate, and experienced dental professional to join our team. The full-time dental assistant seeking employment at our office should have 2+ years experience working as a chair-side assistant and/or dental administrative experience as we will plan to cross train you for the front and back. Working knowledge of dental procedures, infection control procedures, sterilization, radiographic skills, HIPPA compliance, and complete computer competence is a must for this candidate. First and foremost, the dental professional acts ethically and demonstrates leadership in the office by delivering exemplary care and compassion to the patients and staff alike. Responsibilities: The assistant is always 5 steps ahead of the doctor. -Review all patients records prior to seating first patient -Set up operatory -Seat patient -Obtain consent for treatment -Review medical history with the patient -Take necessary radiographs -Update patient chart -Enter correct procedure codes into the computer chart -Assist with the doctor exam and doctor procedure -Record clinical notes accurately and thoroughly -Clean and disinfect operatory -Sterilize and sharpen instruments -Work as a team-member on any challenge that arises in the dental office -manage all in-coming and out-going laboratory cases for the dentist -Execute chair-side and laboratory skills according to supervised direction and education Requirements: Be a caring, compassionate person with experience and we can learn the rest together. -Experience: 2+ years chair side -Education: high school diploma -Bonus: Orthodontic, oral surgery, and expanded duty dental assistants will be more heavily considered Benefits: This is the short list -Retirement contribution -Dental care -Eye care (reduced fee) -Paid vacation after a year of employment -Opportunities for bonuses and advancement -Continuing education opportunities provided -Scrubs provided PS *** We want you to feel as comfortable as possible throughout the interview process and allow the real you to shine.
