Metroplex Endodontics & Microsurgery – Duncanville is looking for a strong, experienced Dental Insurance Coordinator with 5+ years of dental insurance knowledge, excellent patient communication skills, and a solid understanding of claim management to join our fast-paced specialty practice. The Dental Insurance Coordinator is a key role within our practice, responsible for ensuring that our patients receive the maximum benefits from their insurance coverage while experiencing exceptional care and support. This position involves managing all aspects of dental insurance operations, from verification and pre-authorizations to claims submission and follow-up. By ensuring that insurance processes run smoothly, the Insurance Coordinator helps to enhance patient satisfaction and contribute to the overall success of the practice. We are a fast paced office and need a strong Insurance Coordinator who can keep up with daily tasks. You must be able to verify 20+ insurance policies a day, post 25+ bulk checks to patient charts, verify all past due claims while helping with phone calls when needed. Key Responsibilities: Insurance Verification: Verify patients' dental insurance coverage and benefits before appointments. Pre-Authorization: Communicate with insurance companies to obtain pre-authorizations for treatments, ensuring all necessary approvals are in place. Patient Communication: Assist patients in understanding their insurance coverage, benefits, and estimated out-of-pocket costs. Claims Management: Submit accurate and timely insurance claims electronically and via mail, ensuring all necessary documentation is included. Claims Follow-up: Proactively follow up on outstanding insurance claims, appeals, and denials, working to resolve any issues promptly. Industry Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dental insurance policies, industry changes, and regulatory requirements. Collaboration: Work closely with the front desk and clinical teams to ensure accurate patient information and treatment codes are used. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing insurance-related inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy. Financial Guidance: Educate patients on available payment options for services not covered by insurance, helping them make informed decisions. Requirements: Previous experience with dental insurance verification and claim processing. High school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience as a dental insurance coordinator or in a similar role is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex insurance information clearly. Detail-oriented with a strong ability to maintain accurate records and documentation. Proficiency in dental practice management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills to navigate insurance claim discrepancies and denials.
