Registered Dental Hygienist Progressive Periodontics is currently seeking to add a new member as a Dental Hygienist to our practice that has been in operation for 25 years in a state of the art, elegant and warm office in Fayetteville, Ga. Position Summary: *Through the delivery of periodontal therapies and other hygiene-related services, Periodontal Dental Hygienists are committed to improving the oral health of patients *Candidates must be enthusiastic about their profession and willing to provide the highest level of care. We are up to date with the newest Ivory ReLeaf system, use of a IVE suction mirror, eye protection, face shied and disposable PPE for COVID-19 procedures. Responsibilities: *Evaluates overall oral health *Examining oral cavity for signs of periodontal disease or possible cancers and sores *Notation of recession and , bleeding gingiva and oral lesions *Document dental history/chief complaint * Records and reports pertinent observations and patient reactions to dental staff as appropriate *Document lab procedures and ensures follow-up on results *Follow through with oral hygiene procedures in accordance with treatment plans prescribed by the attending Dentist Procedures: *Prophylaxis *Periodontal Scaling & Root planning *Application of fluoride treatment *CPR certified to assist with or institutes emergency measures for sudden adverse development during treatment of patients *Offer additional help to other members of staff ensuring a team effort is created Minimum Education & Experience: *Must be a Registered Dental Hygienist licensed in the State of Ga *Must have at least 2 years of experience *Must have periodontal experience *Must be able to work in a team environment *Experience using Dentrix, Dexis, and Microsoft Office.
