Description
Summary: Under the direction of the Clinic Manager, manage all aspects of clinical operations including oversight and direction of the Dental Assistants. Core Responsibilities ? Mentor and train the Dental Assistants in providing: Excellence in patient care; Effective communication with the patient and doctor, and Appropriate patient instruction ? Oversees the overall smoothness of chairside activities and procedures; Manages the patient flow and sequence priorities of treatment ? Responsible for seating the patient, and taking the patient to the front desk for dismissing ? Assigns Dental Assistant specific patients on a daily basis ? Keeps supplies and equipment current and maintained ? Oversee lab equipment and supplies and equipment maintenance ? Using knowledge of procedural stopping points, assigns one segment of each treatment at a time to keep the dentists at maximum mobility so that each patient receives reasonable proportional attention ? Interface with the doctor to relay individual patient needs to enhance patient care ? Teamwork – Supports and backs-up team members to build a spirit of cooperation and fully meet patient needs ? Adaptability: Adapts to change in direction in order to support changing priorities Job Requirements ? Must be bilingual (English/Spanish) ? Minimum age of 18 with High School Diploma or equivalent ? RDA certification highly desired, required within six months of start date ? A minimum of 2 years experience in a professional dental clinic strongly preferred ? Intermediate to advance computer use and data entry skills ? Reliable transportation; Ability to work clinic hours: Mon & Fri – 8:50-5:30, Tues & Thurs – 9:50 to 7:00, Wed- 11:50 to 7:00 and Saturday 8:50 to 4:00
