Lanier Valley Dentistry is looking for a dependable team player who is not only very skilled in dental assisting, but also brings a lot of energy and personality to our cosmetic and family dental practice. We have a lot of fun in our office, but we also ensure each patients appointment is efficient and professional. Our office is a 9 year old state of the art facility and we are working to maintain our stellar reputation in the NE Atlanta area. Our office is one exit north of the Mall of Georgia off I- 85 in Hamilton Mill (Dacula). Our practice is growing, and we need an additional full time dental assistant. We are looking for a person who is ready to work and learn in a fast paced, paperless office. We need someone that is awesome with communication and strives to make every visit a pleasant experience for our patients. The perfect candidate would be well rounded in a dental setting and be willing to be cross trained to help our front office with scheduling, treatment planning, and other front office duties. We do a wide range of dental procedures, but currently the majority of the practice is crown, bridge, surgery, bone graft, implants, and root canals. We prefer someone that has experience and knowledge in these types of procedures. In addition to the skills set forth above, we look for the following from our staff: -Be awesome! -Cerec experience is a bonus, but willing to train -Able and willing to assist in a front office capacity, insurance, appointing, scheduling, treatment planning and financial management -Describing dental treatment plans and educating patients -Taking digital dental radiographs and intra-oral photographs -Reviewing patients medical history and taking blood pressure -Serving as an infection control officer, following and developing infection control protocols -Preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment -Helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment -Providing patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures -Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health -Taking impressions of patients teeth for study casts or bleaching trays -Performing office tasks that often require the use of a computer communicating with patients and suppliers -Helping to provide direct patient care in all dental specialties, including orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics, oral surgery, endodontics.
