Job Description SHEL Dental P.C., a private dental office, with over twenty years of dedicated patient care in the community of Norwalk Ct, and the surrounding tri-state area is looking for a new Dentist to join its growing team. Position Summary We are holding interviews for a new and exciting opportunity to join our team as a Dentist. In this role, the successful candidate provider shall be responsible for providing professional medical services in accordance with all applicable, laws, rules, regulations, and SHEL policies and procedures, reporting minimally to the head Dentist and office manager(s) in connection with these services. Provider shall provide the services described during such hours and day(s) of the week as are discussed with management and head Dentist. The provider will primarily deal with (but not limited to) cases pertaining to general exams, restorative (simple and more complex), extractions, dentures, endo. and perio. treatments. Those with specialties can also look into signing on to join the team. Job Responsibilities The provider will be expected to uphold and implement the following principles: • General Dentist Principles. • Dentist shall provide direct general patient care services and patient care in Dentists specialty area (if applicable) to patients. Also, provide additional surgical procedures for office patients. • Assess treatment planning options and discuss with patients as needed. • Carry out those clinical treatments agreed upon with patients according to their needs. • Complete full mouth exams and diagnose compromised dental conditions for further treatment. • Educating patients on general proper techniques to maintain and better their oral health. • Legibly complete all medical record documentation in a timely fashion and in accordance with applicable legal and accreditation standards. Progress notes, consultations, and any other entry in the patient medical charts shall be written legibly, dated, and initialed with the dentist’s name. • Completing all necessary billing and additional insurance charts/forms, clearly and legibly. • Assist in the recruitment and training of staff. • Keep up on new advancements in the field of general dentistry (or concentrated specialties) with structured continuing professional developments and/or additional educational training with accredited institutions. Minimum Qualifications • An active and up-to-date DDS or DMD license from an accredited institution. • Must have at least six months of work in the past year or are a recent graduate. • CPR/BLS certification required. • Completion of background and accreditation check. The schedule is flexible.
