Established private oral surgery practice is looking for a full time detail oriented and professional Treatment Coordinator. Summary: The purpose of the Treatment Coordinator is to assist patients in reaching their dental goals by smoothly moving them through the case acceptance and treatment processes for the high-value dental services that they need or want. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Establish and maintain a trusting and supportive relationship with all patients Qualifying and enlightening patients Building value in the patient’s experience and service Help patients overcome financial and emotional barriers to treatment Obtaining a high percentage of case acceptance Being a liaison between the patient and the provider Ensure that patients feel well cared for Staying in communication with the patients throughout the treatment process Being a liaison between the practice and the referral source Skill Set Required Oral Surgery front office and treatment coordinator experience - at least 1 year. Excellent verbal and writing skills Superior interpersonal and customer service skills Excellent listener Empathy for the needs of others Professional demeanor An enthusiasm for helping people through dentistry A good understanding of the dental profession Self confidence Excellent organizational skills High ethical level Primary Duties Coordinating with the doctor daily regarding the day’s patients Establishing a trusting and supportive relationship with patients at their initial consultation Establishing the patient’s goals and budget Pre-qualifying patients and discussing dental insurance benefits when applicable Educating patients about their treatment plan using digital photographs, intraoral camera photos, and models Selling the skills of the surgeon Building value in the services needed by the patient in relation to the fees Making follow-up appointments if necessary Being present when doctor presents recommended treatment plan Preparing written treatment plans per doctor’s instructions Informing patients about the benefits, risks and costs of various treatment options Presenting fees and giving estimates of treatment and documenting financial Arrangements/commitments to pay Obtaining case acceptance Ensure that excellent patient relations are maintained Keeping the doctor apprised of important developments Enhancing relationships with referring doctors by keeping them abreast of referred cases Tracking patients who have pending and incomplete treatment Following up with patients via letters, telephone calls, etc. Placing courtesy calls to obtain feedback from patients Must adhere to privacy, confidentiality, and security policies Communication The Treatment Coordinator is regularly required to: Read and interpret documents and information Use oral and written communication skills Interact with staff, doctors, patients, and referring offices The Treatment Coordinator must be able to work independently with general supervision; and understand and carry out written and oral instructions. Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $20-$24 per hour Good Benefits and Good Mon-Friday schedule.
