Steven Krauss Pediatric Dentistry has an opening for a super friendly and patient Part Time Registered Dental Assistant in Lawrence, New York. We provide a working environment like no other dental office you have ever seen! All of our staff members are provided training to make the transition to your new professional home. Responsibilities: Provide superior patient care and service; exhibit outstanding customer service and hospitality as well as chair side manner. Stay on schedule to create no patient wait time; help manage patient flow; maintain time flexibility for patients; be present, engaged, and ready to work at all assigned shift times. Educate patient on oral hygiene, health, disease as well as procedures and services; establish/communicate continued care. Verify patient health history and document appropriately in the patient’s chart. Maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance. Assist with other office duties as requested or needed. Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment; clean each operatory in accordance with the state-applicable infection control guidelines. Prepare patients for treatment and assist the dentist - complete radiographs and intra-oral pictures of patients in an efficient and timely manner. must have the ability to work well with children and provide patients with a warm and inviting environment. Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care as directed by the dentist. Ensure equipment is maintained according to the manufacturers guidelines. Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA). Qualifications: Dental Assistant experience preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills. Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of all company policies and rules. Days needed: Monday and Thursday 9am-6pm and Wednesday 9am-5pm
