Description

We are currently seeking a friendly Registered Dental Hygienist for our established, dynamic dental practice in Frederick, MD to perform cleanings, examine our patients teeth, and educate them on ways to improve and maintain good oral health. Responsibilities: -Patient screening procedures, such as assessment of oral health conditions, reviewing health history, oral cancer screening, head and neck inspection, dental charting, and taking blood pressure and pulse -Perform a comprehensive periodontal evaluation including probe depths, bleeding points, recessions, mobility, furcation, etc. -Identify failing dental restorations, decay and/or open contact. -Use the intraoral camera -Remove calculus and plaque (hard and soft deposits) from all surfaces of the teeth -Apply preventive materials to the teeth (e.g., sealants and fluorides) -Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health; (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, etc.) -Discuss any unscheduled treatment with patients -Have clear communication with patient and team -Counsel patients about good nutrition and its impact on oral health -Other duties as assigned Qualifications: -Current Maryland Dental Hygiene License -Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation -CPR Certification -X-ray Certification -One year or more of Registered Dental Hygienist experience preferred, but open to no experience for the right candidate. -Possess a strong commitment to patient care, patient health, and quality work Job Type: Full Time, Part-Time Benefits: Employee discount, Paid Time Off, 401K (FT only) Schedule: 8 hour shift License/Certification: Registered Dental Hygienist (Required)
