We are looking for a full or part time Dental Hygienist to help treat patients and promote good oral health practices. As a dental hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional oral healthcare to our patients. You will work closely with our dentists to deliver preventive and therapeutic dental treatments, while also educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices. Looking for full time (Tues-Friday) or part time (Wed and Friday). Responsibilities: - Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planning, and polishing. - Conduct oral health assessments and screenings to identify any dental issues or abnormalities. - Take and develop dental X-rays as needed. - Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide to patients, ensuring their comfort during procedures. - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and nutrition. - Provide individualized oral hygiene instructions and recommendations based on patients' specific needs. - Conduct dental charting and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. - Assist dentists in the diagnosis and treatment planning process. - Perform periodontal treatments, such as periodontal maintenance and non-surgical periodontal therapy. -Assist with instrument sterilization. - Apply dental sealants and fluoride treatments to prevent tooth decay. - Collaborate with the dental team to ensure the highest standard of patient care. - Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene techniques and technologies. Requirements: - Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program. - Current state license to practice dental hygiene. - Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, oral hygiene practices, and dental procedures. - Proficiency in taking digital dental X-rays. - Experience in administering local anesthesia and nitrous oxide. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Compassionate and patient-centered approach to dental care. - Ability to work well in a team environment. - Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. - Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
