Seeking Expanded Functions Dental Assistant(1) and Scheduling Coordinator(1) We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Scheduling Coordinator adn Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our family oriented team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing appointment schedules, ensuring efficient office operations, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in a dental office setting and possess strong clerical skills. This position is essential for maintaining the flow of operations and enhancing patient satisfaction. Duties: Manage and coordinate appointment schedules for patients, ensuring optimal use of time and resources. Verify insurance information and handle any necessary documentation related to patient appointments. Serve as the first point of contact for patients at the front desk, providing a welcoming atmosphere. Utilize phone systems effectively to communicate with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate records using Meditech or similar software, including updating patient information and appointment details. Assist with clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence. Ensure compliance with ICD-10 coding standards when processing patient information. Collaborate with office management to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency. Requirements: Previous experience as a dental receptionist REQUIRED. Familiarity with insurance verification processes is essential. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in office management practices and front desk operations. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
