Description

Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated, long-term, flexible Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team by ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow while providing exceptional patient care. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist in various dental procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a clean and organized environment. We are open 3-4 days a week, including 2 Saturdays a month. The days open vary week-to-week. Responsibilities: Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials. Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a safe environment. Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring proper techniques are used. Manage patient records using Dentrix software, including updating medical histories and treatment plans. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Perform basic administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow. Maintain equipment and ensure that all tools are sterilized according to aseptic techniques. Monitor vital signs when necessary and assist in emergency situations. Requirements: Dental Radiology License Required. CPR Certification Required. Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role. Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques is essential. Understanding of general dentistry procedures and anatomy knowledge is required. Ability to take X-rays safely and effectively, adhering to safety protocols. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
