Description

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dedicated dental team. As an essential part of our practice, you will play a key role in creating a smooth and comfortable environment for our patients, ensuring high-quality care while supporting the dentist in both clinical and administrative tasks. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: *Patient Care & Comfort: Welcome and prepare patients for treatments or check-ups, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns they may have. *Assist with Procedures: Set up instruments, equipment, and materials needed for dental procedures. Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry and ensure the dental room is well-prepared for each procedure. *Instrument Sterilization & Safety: Follow proper sterilization procedures and ensure that all dental instruments are sanitized in compliance with health regulations. *Lab Tasks & Post-Operative Care: Assist with lab tasks as directed and provide patients with post-operative care instructions. *Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, assisting with patient charts, treatment documentation, and payment procedures. *Scheduling & Office Support: Assist in scheduling patient appointments and ensuring the office runs smoothly with minimal disruptions. Keep the dental room clean, organized, and well-stocked. *Regulated Tasks: Perform non-surgical tasks such as coronal polishing, if certified, and assist with other regulated tasks as allowed by local regulations. REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS: *Experience: A minimum of 2 years of dental assisting experience in a clinical setting. *Certification: Dental Assistant Certification (CDA or RDA) is required. Additional certifications such as EFDA (Expanded Function Dental Assistant) or Radiology Certifications are a plus. SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE: *In-depth knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization methods, and infection control protocols. *Familiarity with dental procedures and treatments. *Understanding of health and safety regulations in a dental office. *Experience with dental practice management software (Dentrix Ascend) is highly preferred. *Clinical Competence: Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks, such as coronal polishing, and assist with other dental procedures. *Communication & Patient Care: Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with patients, providing clear instructions and ensuring their comfort. *Organization & Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. *Team-Oriented: Ability to work effectively in a team environment while providing high-quality patient care.
