Position Overview: The Hygiene Assistant plays a key role in supporting our hygienists and doctors while ensuring each patient receives an exceptional experience. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate is a team player, patient-focused, and eager to learn and grow within the practice. Responsibilities: Assist the hygienist during patient exams and cleanings Prepare and set up treatment rooms according to clinical protocols Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment Take X-rays as directed (if certified) Document patient notes accurately in the practice management system Provide patient education and support throughout the visit Collaborate with the doctor and hygienist to ensure smooth appointment flow Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient hygiene area Support front and back office needs as required Qualifications: Previous dental assisting or hygiene assisting experience preferred Current radiology certification (or willingness to obtain) Strong interpersonal and communication skills Positive, team-oriented attitude Benefits Pulled from the full job description 401(k) Health insurance 401(k) matching Paid time off Employee discount Vision insurance Dental insurance Opportunities for advancement About us At Dental Town, we can treat the whole family under one roof!
