Primary Location - Signature Perio: SouthPark – 6743 Fairview Rd, Charlotte, NC 28210 Additional Locations - Signature Perio: Waxhaw – 514 North Broome St, Waxhaw, NC 28173 - Signature Perio: Lake Norman - 9727 Northcross Center Ct, Unit B, Huntersville, NC 28078 Starting Rate: $20.00 - $27.00; willing to discuss based on experience. Schedule - Monday - 7:45 am to 5:00 pm - Tuesday - 7:45 am to 5:00 pm - Wednesday - 7:45 am to 5:00 pm - Thursday - 7:45 am to 5:00 pm - Friday - 7:45 am to 1:00 pm At Signature Perio, we rely on knowledgeable professionals to interact with our valued patients who have questions or concerns before, during, or after their procedures and visits with our office. Dental assistants offer pre, peri, and postoperative support to the periodontist. An ideal candidate is motivated and well-organized with great attention to detail. We want you to be skilled in providing direct/indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible. This position will report directly to the lead DA and our periodontists. Responsibilities - Review patient schedule for the day and prepare patient medical records. - Sterilization of equipment. - Set up procedure rooms with necessary dental instruments. - Take radiographs as needed for treatment and diagnostics. - Assisting periodontists during surgeries and procedures. - Paying attention to the practice’s inventory; ordering and restocking dental supplies or notifying the appropriate channels when supplies are needed. - Educate patients about oral health. - Other duties as needed. Requirements and Skills - High school diploma or equivalent. - Previous experience (minimum of two years) dental assisting required. - Minimum Certified Dental Assistant I required. - Dental X-Ray Certification required. - In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g., HIPAA, OSHA). - Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment. - Strong communication skills along with active listening. - Exceptional interpersonal and rapport building skills. - A patient and empathetic attitude. - Strong time management and organizational skills. - Adaptability and flexibility. - Comfortable working in fast-paced environments. - Troubleshooting skills, either basic or advanced, depending on the role and industry. - Proficiency with computers, especially with Denticon software. - Fluency in a second/multiple languages highly preferred.
