Surgical Dental Assistant – Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (Encino, CA) Position: Full-Time Surgical Dental Assistant Location: Encino, CA Practice Type: Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Our established Encino oral surgery practice is hiring a dependable and skilled Surgical Dental Assistant. We value precision, professionalism, excellent verbal and written skills, consistency, and reliability. Candidates with surgical experience and a strong understanding of sterile technique are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Chair side assisting for third-molar extractions, dental implants, bone grafts, and related OMS procedures Maintain sterile field; manage instruments, surgical trays, and equipment Assist with IV sedation monitoring (experience preferred) Take and process radiographs; CBCT/pano familiarity preferred Support postoperative care and provide thorough patient instructions Ensure operatory turnover and strict adherence to infection-control protocols Requirements 1–2+ years dental assisting experience; oral surgery or implant experience strongly preferred California RDA or DA with strong surgical competency Knowledge of sterile technique and OSHA standards Solid communication skills and clear attention to detail Reliable, punctual, and comfortable with fast-paced surgical days Compensation & Schedule Competitive hourly rate based on experience Full-time schedule with predictable hours Paid time off, 401K, medical, dental and vision benefits.
