Description

Must be Kid Friendly Prepare patients for the oral examination, including making them comfortable in the exam chair. Organize and maintain lab equipment Schedule appointments and follow up with patients. Properly take and mount all radiographs and x-rays, usually under the direction of the dentist. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and tray setups for dental procedures, including sterilization. Record medical and dental histories and the vital signs of patients. Provide aftercare, including drying patients' mouths and providing oral hygiene instructions. Providing chairside assistance and effective administrative support to the clinic Preparing treatment rooms, and sterilizing dental tools and equipment to avoid infection Helping patients feel comfortable before the procedures as well as teaching them proper oral hygiene Applying the suction hoses or other tool to absorb blood, saliva or dental debris and to keep the patient's mouth dry and clear Performing X-rays, soft plaque removal and polishing, orthodontic apparatus insertion as well as fluoride or sealant application under minimal or no supervision Assisting with performing filling cavities for restoration, making fissure sealing as well as cementing and polishing crowns and bridges Keeping up-to-date patients' records as well as maintaining office records and supplies as needed
