Dentist Insurance Coordinator Knoxville, Tennessee Apply Here: https://careers.lmunet.edu/postings/42167 Position Summary The Dentist Insurance Coordinator supports the daily operations of the LMU College of Dental Medicine by managing insurance communication, authorizations, and claim documentation. This role assists patients with understanding their insurance benefits, verifies eligibility through the DentaQuest Portal, submits and tracks pre-authorizations for major dental treatment, and manages Explanation of Benefits (EOB) documentation. This position plays a key role in ensuring timely claims processing, accurate account posting, and efficient communication with Medicaid and insurance partners. Key Responsibilities *Verify patient eligibility and benefits using the DentaQuest Portal *Submit pre-authorizations and track approvals *Print and organize EOBs for claim posting *Run monthly reports on unpaid Medicaid claims *Refile claims and upload requested documentation through DentaQuest *Maintain and update insurance tracking spreadsheets in Microsoft Teams *Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and administrative staff *Support accuracy, organization, and efficiency within the billing workflow Required Qualifications *Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent financial/healthcare experience *Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills *Ability to lift up to 25 pounds *Ability to stand or sit for extended periods *Strong communication and customer service skills *Familiarity with insurance processes and EOBs preferred About LMU-CDM The Lincoln Memorial University–College of Dental Medicine is committed to improving oral health in underserved communities and providing exceptional clinical education in state-of-the-art facilities.
