Job description: **Overview** We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of oral health. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team in delivering a wide range of dental services, including general, pediatric, and endodontic treatments. **Duties** Assist the dentist with various procedures, including fillings, extractions, and cleanings, while maintaining a calm and reassuring demeanor for patients. Prepare patients for treatment, including taking medical and dental histories, and assisting with patient positioning and comfort. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, adhering to HIPAA guidelines and confidentiality agreements. - Utilize medical coding skills to accurately record treatment and patient information. - Participate in four-handed dentistry, working closely with the dentist and other dental assistants to ensure seamless and efficient treatment. Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, adhering to strict infection control protocols. Develop a strong understanding of dental terminology and assist in communicating treatment options to patients. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a positive and welcoming patient experience. **Requirements** High school diploma or equivalent required; dental assisting certification or degree preferred. **Skills** Experience in general, pediatric, or endodontic dentistry, with a focus on assisting and providing exceptional patient care. Strong understanding of dental terminology and medical records management. Proficiency in medical coding and HIPAA regulations. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Compassion and empathy for patients, with a focus on delivering high-quality care and maintaining patient trust. - Ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.
