Pay: $34.00 - $36.00 per hour Job description: EFDA- Expanded function dental assistant Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant with a rock star personality who is willing to learn and join our NON-CORPORATE dental practice. We are a fee for service comprehensive care practice open from Monday- Thursday. As a Expanded Function Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our dental team. This position requires a strong foundation in dental terminology and anatomy, as well as the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to hold a conversation with our most valuable patients. Responsibilities: - Assist dentists with restorative procedures - Maintain accurate medical records and documentation, utilizing Dentrix software. - Conduct pre- and post-operative patient preparation and care. - Operate 3D scanners to capture detailed images of patients' teeth and mouths. Will provide training. - Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff. - Maintain knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy to provide effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals. Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Completion of a dental assisting program or on-the-job training with x-ray certification. - Proficiency in four-handed dentistry and ability to work effectively with dental instruments. - Knowledge of medical imaging technology and dental terminology./Will provide training. - Strong anatomy knowledge and ability to understand and explain medical procedures. - Experience with medical documentation and electronic health records. - Familiarity with 3D scanner technology and the ability to operate it safely and efficiently. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
