Job Description: As a Dental Assistant at Jovan Prosthodontics, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dental restorative and surgical team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to work well with our friendly staff, patients, and their families. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Preoperative Preparation: · Set up and prepare restorative and surgical tray, instruments, · Assist in sterilization procedures to maintain a clean and safe surgical environment. · Greet and prepare patients for surgery, addressing any concerns or questions. Intraoperative Support: · Provide assistance during dental surgeries. · Ensure the comfort and well-being of the patient throughout the procedure. Postoperative Care: · Assist in postoperative care and instructions for patients. · Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment after procedures. · Manage and update patient records accurately. Collaboration: · Work closely with the dental team to coordinate patient care. · Communicate effectively with patients, addressing their concerns and questions. · Collaborate with other dental assistants and administrative staff to ensure smooth clinic operations. Qualifications: Work experience is preferred but not necessary to join us; if you are willing to learn, we are eager to train · High school diploma or equivalent. · Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen successfully · Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. · Current CPR and BLS certification is a plus · X-ray certification is a plus · Knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and infection control protocols. (preferred) · Completion of a dental assisting program or relevant certification.
